This is a very well made impressive cheese board. It is made of a slab of slate that has feet on the bottom side so you can get your fingers under the slate board to carry it to the guests. The board comes with chalk for you to write the names of the cheese on the board so you can see at a glance what kinds of cheese are available. The chalk writes easily and well.
The stainless steel knives are well made and beautiful. Because they are made of stainless steel, they won’t rust. Because the board is made of slate, it is non-porous and does not absorb flavors or smells. Slate is not as reactive as less prone to discoloration like marble is. It is easy to care for and comes clean with just a washcloth.
This set is perfect for family get -togethers and fun to work with as well as beautiful. I am very happy with my purchase and the quality of this board and knives.
