This collar appears to be very well made and sturdy. It is black and has a plastic collar that slides into the shock unit. It is rechargeable and waterproof.
Problem: It doesn’t work on our dog. The collar did not fit very well on him, and when we finally got it on him, it made absolutely no difference whatsoever.
My husband turned it up to the highest setting and Hero just ignored it totally. He didn’t even flinch or look 
in our direction, just kept running.
Hero is a very strong-willed Akita/Pitbull cross and we were hoping the collar would help us train him not to bother the other farm animals but it simply doesn’t work on him.
I read wonderful reviews on Amazon and know others have had good success with this shock collar, but in giving an honest review, I have to say that for this particular dog it was a no-go.
Thank goodness, Hero is very bonded to my husband and will listen to him and is beginning to get better at obeying. We will have to continue working with him, as we have only 
had him for a month or so. We love him dearly and wish he would listen and obey better, so for us, it’s going to be the “old-fashioned lots-of-patience-and-love” way of teaching him not to chase the other animals or take off into the brush when bored, as this shock collar made zero impact on him.
